With a VoxiorLink device and the Remote Access functionality you can prepare every project for your client without the need for an on-site visit.

In only a few steps you can prepare a VoxiorLink device, which you can then send to your client. The only thing the client has to do, is to plug the device into power and network.

Prepare a VoxiorLink device

In the first step you will need to set-up the VoxiorLink on a Raspberry Pi 3.

Tag a VoxiorLink device to be managed by you

By tagging a VoxiorLink device, you will be able to configure it remotely. As soon as the clients plugs the device into power and network, it will show up in your Voxior web console in the Projects dashboard.

1. Go to the Projects page in Voxior web console: https://app.voxior.com/projects

2. Click on the “Add project” button

3. Add the Description of the project and select a VoxiorLink device prepared for this project.

4. If the client plans to use Voice control or Remote access please enter the email used by the client for Amazon Alexa or Google Home. If not, leave the field empty. You can add the email later.
5. Press Save and the VoxiorLink device is tagged with your installer ID. You can now ship the device to your client. As soon as the device is plugged in to power and network it will pop up in the Projects dashboard.

Prepare a new client project to test voice control

The Voxior web console, specifically the Projects dashboard allows you to configure and manage your clients. There you can prepare the project: configure the client’s gateway, modify, rename, enable/disable their devices and check their logs for potential issues.

  1. Go to the Projects page in Voxior Installer Dashboard.

2. Click on the “Add project” button
3. Add the Description of the project and enter the email used by the client for Amazon Alexa or Google Home. You can also modify the email later.
4. By clicking the button “Edit projects” and clicking on a project, you can modify it’s information: E-mail, change the VoxiorLink device or description. Click “Done” when you’re finished.

5. Press "Save and the project is created.

6. Click on the project to set up gateway connection

7. Once the gateway is set up correctly notify the client to pair the Voxior skill on Amazon Alexa or Voxior action on Google Home. They should use the same Amazon or Google account configured by the project. You can also send the client instructions on how to connect Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit/Siri.
