Note: Apple HomeKit requires a local connection provided by the 1Home Box or 1Home Bridge. It won't work with Cloud connection only.

Then connect Apple HomeKit to your KNX smart home:

Register in the 1Home Dashboard, connect your smart home HERE via the Box/Bridge & click "Connect" next to Apple HomeKit on Connected Assistants page and follow the onboarding.

  • Open HomeKit application on your Apple device and follow the video (from 00:40): See the onboarding video.

  • Click Add Accessory button

  • Select your 1Home Box or 1Home Bridge device.

  • Enter or screenshot HomeKit pairing pin found here.

  • Apple will guide you through the setting up names and rooms.
Hint: You can skip the wizard by closing the app and re-opening it.

Note: Apple HomeKit limit is maximum 150 devices or scenes. Enable only the devices you plan to control with voice and keep the device number under 150.

I don't have a HomePod smart speaker, but would still like to try voice control.

The smart speaker isn't necessary, but it has a slightly better voice recognition software and is more handy. You can use it via a smartphone or tablet, as long as you have the Home app installed.
