The 1Home Bridge is a device that can be installed in two different ways

  1. Direct KNX bus connection (ideal for new installations),
  2. Connection via a separate KNX IP Interface, Gira HomeServer or Loxone Miniserver (ideal for retrofit)

Direct KNX bus connection (ideal for new installations)

  • Installation
The 1Home Bridge should be DIN rail mounted into your electrical cabinet and connected to a KNX bus cable via KNX module on the device and to an external 12-30 V DC power supply.

  • ETS Programming
You can assign the physical KNX address, set up BAOS username/password and enable/disable various services using ETS. This step is optional and the device also functions using the default settings on the default Individual address 15.15.255.

Connection via a separate KNX IP Interface, Gira HomeServer or Loxone Miniserver (ideal for retrofit)

  • Plug & Play extension
In a retrofit installation, the device doesn’t need to be connected directly to the KNX bus. This allows for a seamless retrofit to existing smart home infrastructure. The device can even be shipped to the customer and remotely configured so there is no on-site visit required. The customer can simply install the device via the PoE and keep it in the cabinet next to their router.

After the installation of the device - AI does the configuration job for you.

  • Automatic configuration
The 1Home Bridge will automatically read your configuration from your ETS project file, Loxone Miniserver or Gira Homeserver. The device is equipped with our automatic device detection algorithm. Using artificial intelligence based on tens of thousands of smart home configurations, the computer does this work for you. The configuration can also be done remotely.
